Here at Tommy Bee, we recognize and understand the challenges faced by individuals with learning disabilities. We are aware that sometimes because of their disability individuals find navigating everyday life challenging and difficult.
As well as this, the stigma of having a learning disability can cause clients to withdraw from reaching out for support, thus making it harder for them to access services within their communities.
For this reason, our team offers a compassionate, patient approach that has an awareness of these barriers and supports clients at the level of where they are at. This can range from weekly food shopping, ensuring they are able to access their local GP for necessary medication and also that they are engaging with services available to them whether that be probation or crisis interventions.
The team coordinates with multiple agencies in ensuring this support is effective for clients.
